Client Accountant – minimum 4 month contact – 35 hours per week – immediate start
We are seeking a Client Accountant to prepare financial statements for our aircraft clients along with other reporting requirements. Ideally you will need to be qualified (ACCA, ACA) but as a minimum must have experience in preparing accounts in a fiduciary environment.
Key tasks and role:
The role will include the preparation of financial statements for client companies, reviewing financial statements prepared by client accountants/bookkeeper, and preparing and reviewing client VAT returns. The role will also require the individual to support our administrators by providing responses to accounting queries from our clients.
What we are looking for:
The successful candidate will have ACCA/ACA or similar qualification (however we will consider qualification experience) and will have knowledge and understanding of UK GAAP, FRS 102 s1A, IFRS. We would like 3-5 years’ experience preparing financial statements for a portfolio of active clients in a CSP environment and experience of accounting for aircraft owning companies would be desirable. Knowledge of VT and NAV One would be an advantage together with strong Excel Skills. The individual should be able to work without direct supervision and to tight deadlines which will require good communication and team skills.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial statements and tax returns for a portfolio of clients, mostly aircraft companies
- Preparation of management accounts for clients • Preparation and filing of VAT returns for clients
- Review of VAT returns for client companies • Assistance with project to transfer client accounting records from VT to NAV One
- Liaising with administrators, auditors and third parties to offer the highest standard of service to all clients
- Maintain the department’s compliance with legislation, policies and procedures
- Attend operational meetings
- Ad Hoc duties

The chosen candidate will be a reliable and organised individual who demonstrates excellent customer service and strong communication skills. The applicant must be IT literate and preferably familiar with Adobe software. Good initiative and ability to work independently are essential. Excellent record keeping and writing skills will be required. The chosen candidate will ideally have previous experience working in a corporate environment and hold or be working towards a Marketing qualification.
